About The Little Angels Team

The staff at Little Angels have been handpicked for their unique qualities that they bring to the team.  As every child we care for is different so is every staff member. The team and I are committed to professional development and understand that to provide the best quality care we must, as the children’s learning facilitators, be continually learning and developing our own skills.

At present, every member of the team is undertaking a course to improve their knowledge and understanding of child development. From NVQ level 2 in childcare to Degrees and Early Years Professional Status, we are all on our individual journeys.

Emma Eaton, Lead Practitioner

I have actively worked in childcare for the previous 8 years having gained my qualification many moons ago, however I have kept up to date with training and latest developments in childcare during that time.

I have worked at little angels since January 2018 where I have been given the privilege of lead practitioner in shooting stars.
Prior to that I worked in another local setting where I spent seven happy years doing what I love the most.

My goal as an early years practitioner is to provide a bright stimulating, engaging environment for the children in my care. I want every child who walks through the door to feel loved and valued and my biggest priority is giving the children the tools they need to reach their full potential. As a parent myself I understand how important it is to feel secure when leaving your children so strong parent links are also important to me.

I have worked on Monday’s at Little Angels for nearly 6 years.  I love working with you children to help them build their confidence and to know that there is nothing that they cannot achieve.  I have worked with pre-school children for the past 14 years as a pre-school gymnastics coach, so I sometimes bring in some of the basic things we do in our gymnastics classes to help with coordination, movement and confidence.

When I’m not working at Little Angels I teach gymnastics in Oakham to pre-school children all the way up to adults. I also teach Mindfulness in Primary Schools and training to teach Mindfulness to Adults through Bangor University now.  I am also delivering workshops to Year 11 children on how to deal with anxiety and stress.  In addition to this I have a Wellness Centre in Uppingham where I carry out Reiki Treatments and Training along with general wellbeing.  So, to summarise I would say that I am passionate about children and adults becoming the best version of themselves that they can be and equipping them with the tools they need to be able to achieve that.
