A little insight into Little Angels
We are a full day care nursery in Uppingham offering complete wrap around care for children from 6 weeks to 11 years. We open for 50 weeks a year, only closing for 2 weeks at Christmas in line with Rutland schools and bank holidays.
Little Angels provides a safe and encouraging environment so that children can develop the skills needed for life, at their own pace, with warmth, support and praise, and where their individuality is celebrated.
The nursery has 4 different rooms, each developed with the different stages of growth in mind. The children move through the rooms at their own pace and when they are ready.
At Little Angels we follow the foundation stage curriculum, helping to give your child the best start in life.
We also have a fantastic cook on site who provides healthy, balanced meals and snacks for the children. Our cook caters for all dietary needs and allergies and prepares all of the food on site from fresh produce.
In 2011 we were awarded a grant to improve our outside area. Thanks to the excellent design and installation from local business Dexter and Piggott we now have a wonderful outside space that helps to support the childrens creativity. We also enjoy planting and growing vegetables and flowers so the children can learn about growth and how food is produced.
We offer a school club for our older children which consists of before and after school care during term time and a holiday club during half terms. The staff plan lots of fun activities for the children in holiday club, these range from chill out DVD days to farm trips and rock climbing and many many more.
In 2013 we began the accreditation process with the "investors in people" which has been a fulfilling experience. We believe the journey has helped us to support the management and staff, ensuring that everyone feels valued and listened to. The final process takes place in June, where we see what level the setting will be awarded for all the hard work and dedication the team put in.
